Laser Vein Removal

Millions of women and men are bothered by unsightly spider veins on their faces and legs. Spider veins, or telangiectasias, are those small red, blue and purple blood vessels that appear most frequently on the face and thighs.

We are now able to provide safe and effective non-surgical treatment options for the removal of spider and leg veins. Our V-Beam laser treatments allow us to deliver a precise dosage of energy to each vein. During your treatment, light energy is delivered though a special laser handpiece to the targeted vein. The light energy is absorbed by the blood vessels, but not the surrounding tissue. This heat absorption causes a coagulation of the blood vessel, which is subsequently absorbed by your body.

What types of veins can be treated?

Our lasers can remove unsightly veins from all parts of the body. Small facial veins (or "telangiectasia") can be treated quickly without bruising or complication. Spider veins and large blue leg veins can also be treated with excellent results. Knotty varicose veins are not good candidates for laser treatment. Blood blisters or hemangiomas respond very well to our Laser Vein treatment and are usually gone with just one treatment. Patients with port wine stains and other vascular lesions who had given up on finding a solution have also found success with their CoolGlide & V-Beam vascular treatments. A careful evaluation with the physician will help you determine which vessels can be treated and the best course of action to take.

How many treatments do I need?

Often, patients find that one or two treatments are sufficient. However, the number of treatments necessary depends on the number, color and size of the vessels being treated. Since individual results vary, you should consult the physician about your specific condition.

When will I see results?

Most patients find that the majority of treated veins have shown significant improvement within two to six weeks of treatment. However, your final results may not be apparent for several months. Over time, it is possible for new veins to appear, but these can be treated as well. Compression stockings are also recommended to help prevent these new veins from forming.
