Q: What is the difference between drug-store anti-aging products and physician grade products? As a general rule over the counter anti-aging creams contain low concentration levels of active ingredients. Companies who produce these products are selling millions of creams to people who don’t want to have side effects from their products. Companies will tend to stay on the safe side, adding low quantities of active ingredients, so they are unlikely to cause a reaction but also unlikely to produce good results. Patients who are looking to invest in great skin care and want to benefit from higher concentration levels will be encouraged to use physician grade products. |
